In an issue of Famitsu, SEGA announced Phantasy Star Zero for the Nintendo DS. The new addition to the action-RPG series will be an online adventure similar to Phantasy Star Universe. With the Wi-Fi network, multiplayer is available for up to 4 players to hack-and-slash their way through monster-filled dungeons.
Phantasy Star Zero will feature a brand new storyline. In terms of the touch screen, players can sketch messages to communicate with their friends over Pictochat. The sketched messages then appear as speech bubbles. As of this writing, a North American release has not been confirmed, but it will be launched in Japan sometime in December.
