SEGA is currently developing a new Sakura Taisen game for the Nintendo DS. The game is titled Sakura Taisen: Kimi Arugatame, and it will feature a familiar cast of characters that have appeared in previous Sakura Taisen titles.

For the most part, the game will play similarly to it's predecessors on the social aspects of the game as the Live Interactive Picture System (LIPS) remains intact. A major change, however, is in the combat; the game is primarily a dungeon crawler.

Sakura Taisen: Kimi Arugatame is scheduled to hit Japan in the first quarter of 2008. At the moment, SEGA has a teaser site open. The game will also be on exhibit at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.
