Disney recently announced that Spectrobes 2 is already under development for the Nintendo DS. Though the company has also announced that all their upcoming DS titles will incorporate their new online service "D Gamer" with features such as avatars, chatting, and online achievements, no mention was made of how this would play in to Spectrobes 2.

The original Spectrobes, a creature-collecting game, debuted earlier this year. Its sequel is expected for the fall of 2008.
