Konami's announcement at the Tokyo Game Show that both Suikoden I and Suikoden II would be ported to the PSP on one single UMD disc left those who couldn't find, or afford, these rare games hopeful that they would be able to lay their hands on the two titles without plunking down an asinine amount of cash on eBay for them. Unfortunately, it looks as if importing this compilation may be your only option at this point, because Konami has announced that it will be released in Japan only.

This isn't to say that there's absolutely no chance that the game will ever see the light of day in North America. Nothing is preventing Konami from giving Suikoden I & II a North American localization should they decide to do so at a later date. Even still, it does cast a rather strong cloud of uncertainty over the compilation's future in North America.
