Nintendo of America announced today that it will publish SquareSoft's classic RPG Final Fantasy IV for the Game Boy Advance this holiday season. The game will feature game elements added specifically for its GBA release.
This is not the first time RPGamers have seen a port of this title to another system. Originally released as Final Fantasy II in 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Final Fantasy IV was also re-released in 1997 in Japan and 2002 in North America as a part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles collection along with Chrono Trigger, and for the Japanese Wonderswan Color handheld system in 2002.
As of yet, details on what exactly will be added to the game, and if anything will be changed, are nonexistent. Look for Final Fantasy IV on store shelves on December 12.
