Namco has revealed two new characters from Tales of the Abyss, which will follow last month's Japanese PlayStation 2 release Tales of Legendia. Previously announced characters include Luke, the spoiled fencer son of a powerful Kimraska official, and Tear, an orphaned soldier of the Lorelai Order.

Jade Curtis aids the mighty Markt Empire, which shares a delicate peace with Kimraska, by using his deep knowledge of weapons. Anys Tatlin, a young and intelligent female, protects the leader of the religious group Lauray. She is an admirer of Luke, and travels with her stuffed doll Tokunaga.

Tales of the Abyss is scheduled for a 2006 Japanese release. While no North American release has yet been announced, Tales of Legendia is expected to reach the continent during February of next year.
