Nintendo announced today that, starting September 19, gamers the country over will be able to pick up their own Game Boy Micro at a suggested retail price of $99.99. The hardware will come in two versions, black and silver, and will be accompanied by three removable faceplates. For the geometrically inclined, the unit is 4 inches wide, 2 inches long, .7 inches thick, weighs 2.8 ounces, and sports a 2 inch screen.

The three faceplates that will be included with the black model are of a "flame" design, a "camouflage" design, and a silver design. The silver model will come with a "ammonite," "ladybug," and black faceplate. Check out examples here.

George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications, says, "Game Boy goes anywhere, and now it fits anywhere. The incredibly small size of Game Boy Micro belies the powerful technology shrunk into a hip new casing with an intensely bright screen; and at under $100, it's a must-have."

The Gameboy Advance RPG library includes titles such as CIMA: The Enemy, Riviera: The Promised Land, Golden Sun, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and a host of others, both released and forthcoming.
