Mist Walker

Hironobu Sakaguchi, founder of Mist Walker and creator of Final Fantasy, announced in an interview for a Japanese website that Mist Walker is developing two brand new RPGs. While he didn't mention any details about the games other than their development, he did say that he plans to put all of his 20 years of experience into these games to make them the best that he has created. He also wishes for the games to "bring tears to the eyes of their players, in the ways that only novels and movies could."

Mist Walker was trademarked in 2001 by Sakaguchi before his defection from Square Enix earlier this year. The company, which has lied dormant until recently, is headed by Sakaguchi who took the reins as president. Kensuke Tanaka, who was involved in projects such as Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and PlayOnline during his tenure at Square Enix, has been appointed vice president of the start-up company.
