A few tidbits of unconfirmed information concerning the upcoming PlayStation 2 RPG Suikoden III have recently leaked out of Konami HQ. These few details serve to supplement what little is currently known about the game.

Suikoden III will use a so-called "trinity sight system" allowing for switching between the three main characters with the actions performed by one affecting another's story and gameplay later on in the game. The three main characters, adventuring on some as yet unknown quest some 15 years after the events of Suikoden II, have been granted names and points of origin. The character names are Hugo, Chris, and Ged with homelands in "the west", the Grasslands, and the Zeksen Federation; it is not currently known which character is matched to which location. Although the newest installement in Konami's series will be making the jump to a new 3D engine, the game's graphics will still use slightly superdeformed character models.

While this information is currently all unconfirmed, next week's issue of Famitsu magazine promises a chockload of new details on the title and may give some official support to these claims. RPGamer will report back as soon as any additional information is released or confirmed.
