When Phantasy Star Online arrived on the North American continent in January, fans were overjoyed, unless of course they wanted to connect using Sega's broadband adapter. Support was deftly dissected from the domestic version, despite the fact that the Japanese iteration allowed our gaming neighbors to enjoy the rush of speedy rpg goodness. A complicated workaround was eventually crafted, but it was far from an acceptable solution. Well, fear not broadband brothers. Word has come from Sega that the broadband adapter will be fully supported in the upcoming Phantasy Star Online Version 2 update.

There are, however, two caveats to this snippet of information. Firstly, PPPoE connections (commonly used in connection sharing) will not be supported by the game. Secondly, you should already be in possession of a BBA. The peripheral was sold exclusively on Sega's website (and only to the US, not Canada), and it appears that they have sold out, and there is no word yet of a new shipment.
