It looks like it will be a very Grandia Christmas after all this year. Ubi Soft, the game's North American publisher, has announced that it intends to release the highly anticipated Dreamcast RPG, Grandia 2, in America on December 5.

Grandia 2 will be a completely original game, rather than a direct continuation of Justin, Sue, and Feena's adventures from the first game. The story, character, and world are entirely new creations. Grandia 2 is related to the original only in themes, style, and a few other minor areas.
