Uematsu to be replaced by Sakamoto?
Recently, Core Magazine reported that it's sources within Square have told them that Ryuichi Sakamoto will be working for Final Fantasy IX. If this is true, then what will become of N. Uematsu? Many fans will be dissapointed to see the legendary composer of the Final Fantasy series leave after 8 games. Also, he could work along side Sakamoto. Not much is known at the time.

Sakamoto won five awards in 1987 for his work on 'The Last Emperor' and a Grammy Award for his work in 1988. He has also worked with many musicians, including the infamous Madonna in 1993. If Uematsu does leave the Final Fantasy universe, RPGamer speculates that it will be left in capable hands.
