Indie Update: Tenth Edition

We return with the tenth edition of our series designed to help RPGamer cater to the ever-increasing number of indie titles that our staff regrettably does not have the resources to provide full coverage to. The idea of this column is to quickly pass on the word about certain games to our readers that they might otherwise not be made aware of, and we hope both readers and developers find this useful.

This edition of our indie update column features the following titles: The Tenth Line, The Vagrant, LUCAH, Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, and Exzore: The Rising.



The Tenth Line

The Tenth Line is the debut commercial title from Sungazer Software. The game released in March for PC and Mac via Steam, and is now out for PlayStation 4 in North America for $12.99 (or $10.39 with PS Plus). The Tenth Line sees players guiding the princess of of Easania away from the clutches of a mysterious cult. Players explore through 2D platforming sections, and command their party in turn-based battles.



 



The Vagrant

The Vagrant is an upcoming title from O.T.K Games that recently arrived on Steam Early Access for PC. The game is a 2D action RPG set in the fantasy world of Mythrilia. Players control Vivian the Vagrant, a traveling sellsword looking to reunite her family. Those interested in checking the game out can order its Early Access version now with $14.99/£10.99/€14.99. At the time of writing, the Early Access version contains story content for the first two chapters. A full release is planned for later this year.



 



LUCAH

LUCAH is an action RPG from developer melessthanthree with a distinct visual style that itscurrently approaching the final stages of a Kickstarter fundraising campaign. The game transports players to a nightmarish world, where they must use their powers as one of the Marked to fend off enemies. LUCAH lets players customise both their playstyles and the game's difficulty. The developer is looking for $20,000 in funding by July 9, 2017. A demo for the game, which is being developed for PC, Mac, and Linux, is available to download from the Kickstarter page.



 



Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark

6 Eyes Studio recently announced Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, a tactical RPG now in development for PC, Mac, and Linux. Inspired by classic titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, Fell Seal features a hefty selection of classes with which can players will be able to outfit their squad. The game's story revolves around the Arbiters, an order dedicated to keeping the peace. Players will be able to complement the defined story characters with ones of their own creation. Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark is currently planned for release sometime in 2018.



 



Exzore: The Rising

Tiny Shark Interactive released a new teaser trailer for its open-world RPG Exzore: The Rising. Covered in the last edition of this column, Exzore: The Rising is set in the medieval world of Eogaan and follows Damien Clive, a betrayed former commander of the Exzore army unit. The game is planned for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in late 2018.
