Square Enix today announced Lost Sphear, the second "artisan" title from I Am Setsuna developer Tokyo RPG Factory. The game will be released worldwide in early 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, priced in the US at $49.99.
Like I Am Setsuna,Lost Sphear aims to recapture the spirit of classic JRPGs from the 16-bit era on modern hardware. The game follows a young boy, Kanata, who wakes up from a dark dream to find his remote hometown, and other parts of the world, disappearing into mist. He joins forces with others in an attempt to rebuild the world using the power of Memory. Lost Sphear will utilise an ATB battle system, with players able to strategically move around the battlefield during combat.
