Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Deck13 have released a trailer that's all about how to go from Pathetic Meat Bag to Walking Force of Destruction in their post-apocalyptic action RPG, The Surge. Using a targeting system to mark a specific body part, the player character kills and dismembers the foe to systematically separate his corpse from the desired piece of gear, which is then picked up and immediately equipped to slowly build a deadlier, more metal you. In a macabre game of body part roulette, the protagonist pilfers together a formidable suit of body armor, piece by piece. Of course, crafting while using armor schematics is also an option. The trailer ends with a montage of impressive-looking full-body armor creations, one for each type of play style.
The Surge is primed to be unleashed in North America and Europe on May 16, 2017. It will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
