Sloclap is a new studio formed by former Ubisoft developers that previously worked on Watch_Dogs and the Ghost Recon series. It and publisher Devolver Digital have announced the studio's debut title Absolver, an online melee-focused RPG planned for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2017.

The game features masked combatants called Prospects, who have taken a vow to join the titular elite corps that aims to maintain the world's stability. Prospects are overseen by the new rulers of the Adal Empire, known as the Guides. Combat takes place in real time through a series of attacks, dodges, feints, and counters with both dungeon-based PvE and arena-based PvP options available. Players are able to learn and equip new combat styles and attacks as they progress in addition to finding new gear.
