Capcom has set a date for the Japanese release of Monster Hunter Stories. The more traditional RPG spin-off will arrive on October 8, 2016, for the Nintendo 3DS. Along with the announcement came a new trailer for the game.

Monster Hunter Stories plays as a more classical RPG set in the Monster Hunter universe developed with a younger audience in mind. There has been no announcement of a Western release.
