Monster Hunter Generations

Capcom today announced that Monster Hunter Generations, the latest mainline Monster Hunter game that was released in Japan as Monster Hunter X, will be released in North America and Europe on July 15, 2016. In addition to the standard physical and digital copies of the game, Nintendo is also putting out Monster Hunter Generations-branded New 3DS XL handheld consoles. North America will receive the blue version of the console, while Europe will receive the red version. The European version will include the game pre-installed but North American players will need to buy the game separately.

Monster Hunter Generations features a number of additions to previous games in the series. Each of the fourteen weapon types can now be combined with four different combat styles — Guild, Striker, Aerial, and Adept — with new equippable Hunting Arts offering special attack options. Players can also play as a cat-like Felyne in the new Prowler game mode, with three villages from past games joining the new Verma Village. Monster Hunter Generations will be available for all variants of the Nintendo 3DS console, and support online co-op for up to four players.
