Two piece of news recently came out for mobile titles within popular RPG series from publisher Square Enix. The first is that Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ (Chi), is now out in North America for iOS and Android. The free-to-play title serves as an overall prequel to the series, with players being one of the many keyblade wielders present during this era. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ takes place at the same time as the Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover cinematic piece that forms part of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue collection.

The second piece of news focuses on the Valkyrie Profile series, with the announcement of Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin, a new RPG set before the first Valkyrie Profile game. Valkyrie Anatomia will be released in Japan in spring 2016 for iOS and Android, will no announcement of a western release at this stage.
