Arcadian Atlas

The Kickstarter campaign for Twin Otter Studios' Arcadian Atlas is now live. The game is an isometric tactical RPG inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre in both visuals and gameplay. Arcadian Atlas is set in a nation whose king is dying and internal strife met with reports of soldiers from outside intruding on its eastern borders. Main protagonists Desmond and Vashti are two Royal Guard soldiers under direct orders from the Queen who get embroiled in the nation's crises.

The game is initially planned to be roughly ten hours long, though Twin Otter Studios hopes to be able to expand that based on the final level of funding achieved. Arcadian Atlas will feature an assortment of classes, such as the ranger, rogue, and apothecary, with each base class able to move into one of two advanced classes. Players are also able to customise their characters' stat distribution and skill specialties. Terrain will play a key role in the combat system, offering cover, impassable terrain, height advantages, and more. The music looks to stand out, with Twin Otter Studios and composer Moritz P.G. Katz looking to blend symphonic jazz with elements of trip-hop, soul, and funk.

Twin Otter Studios is looking for $90,000 in pledges to help get to Arcadian Atlas released for PC, Mac, and iOS, with the campaign ending on May 9, 2016. Those how pledge at least $20 can secure a copy of the game as part of their backer rewards. The game is currently scheduled for release in February 2018.
