The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

CD Projekt RED has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be getting significant post-release expansions. RPGamers certain of their desire to pick up the expansions can now pre-order the Expansion Pass, which was announced on gog.com and grants access to two new adventures.

The first is Heart of Stone, which CD Projekt claims features ten hours of content that will take players across No Man's Land and Oxenfurt as they attempt to fulfill a contract from a person known as the Man of Glass. The second is Blood and Wine, a twenty-hour story that will introduce a new region of the game, Toussaint, which has been untouched by war but harbors a an old secret.

In addition to the two questlines, the expansions will offer new gear and enemies, as well as returning characters from the series. Heart of Stone has a planned release in October of 2015, whereas Blood and Wine should be due sometime in the first quarter of 2016. The Expansion Pass is priced at $24.99/£19.99/€24.99, though players can save some money by pre-ordering the Expansion Pass in a packaging with the full game. The expansions will also be available to buy individually. The Witcher 3 releases May 19, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
