Publisher Deep Silver has announced that the console versions of pirate-themed RPG Risen 2: Dark Waters will be delayed until the summer. The game will now be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 31 in North America, with the European release on August 3.

Deep Silver also announced that the console version will include an exclusive side-episode titled "The Air Temple", and is stated to contain several hours of extra gameplay. The PC version, which is available exclusively through digital distribution, is unaffected by the delay and will be released as scheduled this week.
