THQ recently announced that Darksiders II is being delayed from June to August of this year. No exact date was given for the time being. According to THQ, this delay is to provide more time to fix bugs and better polish Darksiders II as it is a "substantially larger game than its predecessor."

While a sequel, Darksiders II will take place around the same time as the first game, but will focus on the Horseman Death rather than War. The game will be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in August and is slated to be a WiiU launch title at a later time in 2012.
