XSEED Games has recently launched the official English site for Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, the latest game in the long-running series. XSEED has also given details on some of the game's monsters, bosses, and characters, much of which can be found on the website.

Players may choose up to six characters from ten unique individuals, a male and a female from each of the five races. Each one has his/her own unique back story. There is, for instance, the human woman Odetta who adventures in the hopes of achieving fame and fortune and ultimately becoming a member of the nobility. There is also the female gnome Dia, a recent graduate from the seminary who wants a senior position in the clergy and becomes an adventurer to gain valuable life experience. Players can also create their own characters.

There will be 120 varieties of monsters to battle, ranging from physical bruisers like Kobolds and Trolls to magically-empowered creatures like Banshees and Greater Demons. At least some of the bosses will also, according to XSEED, provide quite the challenge to even seasoned veterans of RPGs. Some of the beasts mentioned include the gold-colored Hydra and the Vampire Queen.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls will be available to download from the PlayStation Network sometime this Spring. There will be additional downloadable content available after an unspecified amount of time once the game is released.
