The Spring 2011 release of Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is drawing closer by the day, and XSEED Games has begun to release more information on what potential dungeon explorers can expect from the game. For now, they have revealed a few details on the races of the game and character creation.

Players can choose characters from five different races to fill their six-member teams. The available races are humans, dwarves, elves, gnomes, and porklu, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses. While some races are better suited to certain classes than others, any character can be given any of the game's eight classes, and each character can be customized as they develop. Of course, male and female versions of each race are available, giving players ten different characters to choose from.

While stats are an important factor in deciding which characters to choose, they aren't the only thing to be considered. Each of the ten different characters has their own story, so this choice will affect the plot of the game as it unfolds.
