Although we had previously reported Final Fantasy V appearing on the European PlayStation Network Square Enix has announced a date. On April 14, 2011, gamers will be able to download this timeless classic for their PlayStaton 3 and PlayStation Portables for €9.99 / £7.99.

In other Final Fantasy news, Square Enix has also confirmed via twitter that Final Fantasy VI will be making its way to PlayStation Network. The game is said to release on April 20, 2011 in Japan. No word yet on whether or not the game will be releasing on North American or European PSN at this time.
