Throughout its ten year history, RPGamer, the leading source for RPG news online, has prided itself on giving its readers a voice. Now, RPGamer is going one step further – and giving them the chance to be published!
RPGamer is proud to introduce Writers' Corner, a quarterly fiction periodical to contain original science fiction and fantasy works submitted by readers. Readers will be able to submit their work to an editor at the site, who will then select the finest work among them for publication.
"RPGamer has been serving roleplaying enthusiasts for ten years," says Shawn Cooper, Interaction Editor. "With so many of these readers producing quality sci-fi and fantasy fiction, we feel this is the perfect time to open a section dedicated to publishing the finest offerings from aspiring writers."
Writers are encouraged to submit their work to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to appear in the first Writers' Corner is August 1, 2008, with the first issue going live on September 1, 2008. At this time, Writers' Corner is accepting original fiction and poetry only; work derived from existing intellectual property is not suitable for submission. Yearly bindings will be available for those who wish to have a printed copy of the publication.
