Only four years after its initial release on the PC, EverQuest has finally managed to make the transition to Macintosh.
Sony Online Entertainment announced today that a new version of the popular MMORPG is now available for sale to Mac
customers. Titled simply EverQuest Macintosh Edition, the new package will supply players with a compatible version
of EverQuest Classic, as well as all four of the previously released expansions including: The Ruins of Kunark, The Scars of Velious,
The Shadows of Luclin, and The Planes of Power.
For those in the audience new to massively multiplayer gaming, EverQuest is a gargantuan online fantasy world, in which
players from all over the globe may log on and become warriors or wizards to battle the evils of the world. EverQuest Macintosh
Edition is intended to run on the OS X operating system and will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99, which
will include a 30 day subscription to the game.
