Square EA has moved the release date of the eagerly anticipated Final Fantasy Chronicles forward. The two-disc compilation, featuring slightly updated versions of Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger will now ship today. The refurbished titles will feature the hard type translation in the case of Final Fantasy IV and anime cutscenes throughout Chrono Trigger. Final Fantasy IV will also feature opening and closing FMV sequences.

Final Fantasy Chronicles had previously been slated for a release in July; however, Square had given a number of indications that the compilation would be released earlier than the projected date. The game should arrive in stores by early next week.
