Crave Entertainment Expands

Crave Entertainment the developers of; the recent Shadow Madness, which was released on May 28 and the upcoming Jade Cocoon has planned to phase out its Seattle based studios and expand its Los Angels based operations. Crave plans to add a new director of technology, a sales group focused exclusively on Crave products and additional production and marketing staff. These new positions will be located in Los Angeles. Crave Entertainment expects to double its revenues in '99.

"We are dedicated to publishing the best quality product for upcoming next generation platforms. As part of this commitment, we've decided to focus exclusively on three initiatives," said Holly Newman, Crave's executive vice president of publishing. "We are directing our efforts toward supporting our external studios, expanding our distribution model, and expanding our management team to prepare the company for a wave of next generation console and PC games."

Several Seattle-based Crave employees could relocate to the new Los Angeles facility where work still has to be completed on the PAL version of Shadow Madness for PlayStation before the LA facilities close. Caesars Palace for N64 will now be managed by the Los Angeles-based Crave Entertainment development team.
