More information on Ion Storm's PC RPG, Anachronox, has come to light. The
game will be viewed from a third-person perspective and the character is
moved around using cursor commands. Interaction with NPCs will utilize
full speech and text, though there will be an option to turn off the text.
The game will also feature cut-scenes to help move the story along at certain
points.
The battle sequences are similar in style to Final Fantasy VII, but battles
take place in the normal environment. The attack menu is icon based, and
rotates around the character. Anachronox will also ship with software that
allows the players to make their own sidequests and minigames.
Anachronox is schedule for a Q4 '99 release.
