Panzer Dragoon Saga mania hits

Will Sega appease hordes of eager fans and print more copies?

If you haven't reserved your copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Sega Saturn, forget it, for now, even though it was released just yesterday. You might have a chance to get a copy later on, though.

A game Next-Generation calls "unique, trailblazing, and wonderful," Panzer Dragoon Saga fits on four CDs, yet all the copies printed can fit in one store. In a move many question and many more hope will be reversed, Sega decided to print and release only 6,000 copies of Panzer.

RPGamer called 12 stores in the North Texas area, from stores in busy malls to ones located far from the bustle of the city with the hopes of locating one. Not a copy was left.

"Every copy we got in has been spoken for. We need another shipment just to fill our pre-orders," an Electronics Boutique representative said.

Another EB representative stated that they planned to send a statement to Sega outlining the demand and pointing out how quickly the few sought-after copies sold.

Hopefully, this game will eventually reach many players. If not, the 6,000 lucky ones with a copy will hold bragging rights for many years.

If you're one of the 6,000 that has a copy, email AndrewK at RPGamer. He'd love to hear what you think of the game.
