Bandai Namco recently released the second official trailer for the latest title in the Super Robot Wars tactical RPG series, Super Robot Wars V. As is usual for the series, the trailer primarily focuses on the special moves of the game various characters and the mecha they pilot. New franchises that will be making their first appearances in the crossover tactical RPG series — along with mainstays such as Gundam and Full Metal Panic — include Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Cross Ange. The game will also feature two original protagonists named Soji Murakumo and Chitose Kisaragi.

The eighth standalone title in the long-running tactical RPG crossover series, Super Robot Wars V is being developed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will be released in Japan on February 23, 2017, with an English-subtitled version also being released in Southeast Asia on the same date.
