Have you ever thought “It would be really neat to be on a podcast, I have a lot of ideas to share!” then this post is for you, as we are looking for a few new voices to round out our RPGCast crew. Read on to see what we’re looking for:

First and foremost, we want someone with enthusiasm, a thirst for knowledge and debate, and who can crack a joke as well as they can take it. Interested candidates should have a quiet environment to record in with little to no background noise and distractions, and be familiar with Skype and Google Drive, and have a headset including microphone or stand-alone microphone and headset. Built-in microphones on computers including laptops are insufficient.  

The RPGCast generally records Saturdays at 12pm EST / 9am PST, about 45 weeks of the year.  Candidates should strive to be available between 35-40 of these weeks and have some flexibility for alternative recordings. If you cannot regularly commit to 3-5 hours on a Saturday, this probably isn’t the gig for you.

Like all positions at RPGamer, our podcast positions are unpaid but come with your own spiffy @rpgamer.com email, access to our staff channel, and perks like free games and early access to upcoming game information. Numerous RPGamer alumni have also used their experience at the site to parlay into full time positions within the video game industry.

*Full Name, Age, Location including Time Zone, Skype name, and how long you’ve been listening to the RPGCast;
*Current audio setup (please feel free to be as detailed as possible);
*What game systems you own/regularly play;
*Favorite RPG and favorite non-RPG;
*Estimate of how many games you play in a year;
*Anything else you think we should know about you!
