Dragon's Dogma Online

This week's issue of Famitsu reveals that the next title in Capcom's Dragon's Dogma series will be Dragon's Dogma Online. The game will be a free-to-play title with microtransactions and will be released in Japan later this year for PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.

In the game players will control a character in a new location called Lestaria. Players will be able to team up with up to three others, or three AI pawns if they wish to play solo, as well as join up to a hundred others in the town lobbies. The game's combat is said to be similar to previous titles, featuring large enemies that players can grab on to in order to target specific body parts.

Dragon's Dogma Online is said to feature a world roughly in size to that of the first game, but with seasonal updates planned that will expand the world. Character creation options are said to have been improved, and a crafting system is also set to be introduced that will make use of the game's AI pawns. There is nothing to report regarding a release in North America or Europe at this time.
