Atlus has announced that the second part of the Persona 2 duology, Eternal Punishment, will follow in the footsteps of Innocent Sin and be remade for the PSP. The remake will include new scenarios, a new animated opening from Madhouse, and the choice between original and updated background music. As with Innocent Sin, the remake will be directed by Shoji Meguro.

The first screenshots and a debut Japanese trailer have been released and can be viewed below. Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is set for release in Japan on May 17, 2012. There has not yet been any announcement regarding a Western localization.
