At a recent event in Akihabara, Japan, Falcom officially announced two new Ys games: Ys Seven and Ys I & II Chronicles. Ys Seven is scheduled to release in Fall 2009 and Ys I & II Chronicles is scheduled for Summer 2009.

The two new titles were only represented by artwork. The platform they will be released on was not announced. The Sony PSP is a likely candidate considering Falcom's recent work on PSP titles such as Gurumin, the series known as Legend of Heroes in North America, and the upcoming Brandish: The Dark Revenant. Additionally, Sony systems are the strongest candidates, as screens for both games should be released in April's Dengeki Playstation. Expect more information in the coming weeks.
