Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier

The Super Robot Wars games are plentiful in Japan, but only a couple have been released in North America. Atlus recently announced its intention to add one more to that list, Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier for the Nintendo DS.

Taking place as a side story of the Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation games, Endless Frontier will take players across the universe to many different types of worlds, from apocalyptic wastelands to more traditional fantasy-styled worlds. Players will experience the journey of Haken Browning, a professional bounty hunter and amateur ladies' man, along with his crew of robots, were-people, mermaids, demons, and even humans in a conflict that spans space and time.

Along with a brand new story, Endless Frontier's battle system has been reinvented. Players can create their own attack combos using a varied array of skills. Enemies can be air juggled, and huge chain attacks, prolonged to sometimes ridiculous length by timed-button presses or even calling in allies, are integral to combat. As a bonus, owners of Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation and Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 for the Game Boy Advance will be able to unlock bonus items by booting Endless Frontier with either of the two games in the GBA slot.

Atlus will be continuing to reward its early supporters by providing a soundtrack CD in every launch copy of Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier. The game is scheduled to release on April 28, 2009 at an MSRP of $34.99.
