New Persona, Metal Saga Games Announced
03.08.2006

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed the development of two new RPGs. First, for the PlayStation 2, is Atlus' next game, Persona 3. The game appears to have been in development for a while now, as it is set for release in Japan on July 13. It is not yet known if Persona 3 will continue the storyline of Persona or Persona 2.

Famitsu also revealed the creation of Metal Saga DS, to be developed by Crea-Tech and published by Success. The game follows in the footsteps of Metal Saga for the PlayStation 2 in depicting a war-torn world populated by survivalist humans, guns, and tanks. It also appears that dogs return as playable characters. Metal Saga DS is due to be released in Japan this June.

Nothing is known about the possibility of a North American release for either game. However, as Atlus has brought over two previous Persona games and is currently localizing Metal Saga for the PS2, gamers have room to hope for a localization. More will be reported on both titles as additional information comes to light. In the meantime, be sure to peruse the latest scans of the two games.
