Fans of the latest addition to the Phantasy Star Online series are going to have something to look forward to this week and the next. The Windows version of Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst, Episode IV
is scheduled for some new changes on March 10 and March 15.
Today, on March 10, two new storylines were to added to the game.
Each of the storylines is a half of a single, larger story arc called
the "Chosen Ones" and involves extensive exploration of the
Underground Desert in the Crater.
An increase in the drop rates for rare items in PSOBB: Episode IV is set for a date of March 15. Specifically, the increase will involve
a certain rare item that players can receive by defeating a certain
enemy in the wooded area of Episode I. The programming team for PSOBB
implemented the change to help satisfy player complaints that the item was
too difficult to obtain, and for this same reason future changes for the
drop rates of other rare items are also being considered.
PSOBB: Episode IV has not yet made it to North America, but Sega still has plans for a spring 2005 release. RPGamer will keep you informed of any changes on the game's status as they are disclosed.
