In a one-on-one with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Hironobu Sakaguchi, father of the Final Fantasy series and recent defect from Square Enix, revealed a few details regarding one of the RPGs that is currently in development by his game development studio, Mistwalker.
During the interview, Sakaguchi mentioned that the game is a Simulation RPG, and is currently in development for Nintendo's DS handheld.
It was made apparent that Sakaguchi wants to incorporate use of the DS' touchscreen somehow, but it's not clear how he wants to utilize it as of yet. Sakaguchi will take on the roles of producer, scenario, and game design, while Hideo Manaba will be helping with art direction.
Other details thus far are few and far between. However, it was mentioned that the player's party will consist of four or five characters. When new information is released regarding this game, or any other RPG Mistwalker is working on, RPGamer will keep you informed.
