Three New Games Ship

Three brand-spanking new RPGs were shipped to stores yesterday, meaning those of you in dire need of a new RPG should be able to head to a store near you to get your fix. First off, the eagerly anticipated .hack//infection has been released. This game is the first in a series of four .hack releases from Bandai. As an added bonus, the game includes an anime DVD from the .hack//SIGN anime based on the game.

Additionally, the Ultima Online expansion, Age of Shadows, has also been released. This expansion will include many new features, like the House Design Tool that will allow longtime players to customize their own houses, or build new ones from the ground up. The expansion will also feature a new Shadow land, as well the requisite new monsters, items and weapons that accompany a new area. Two new character classes, Paladin and Necromancer, have also been included.

Last, but certainly not least, Sony's MMORPG juggernaut Everquest lands on the PS2 in the form of Everquest Online Adventures. The game, set 500 years before the events in the PC version of Everquest, is the first MMORPG to be released for the PS2 in North America. Everquest Online Adventures will feature 9 races, and 13 character classes. Players will, of course, be charged $9.99 a month for the game, in addition to the $49.99 cost of the game itself. Players will also need to have purchased the online adaptor for their PS2.
