Square recently revealed a few more details regarding its upcoming expansion for Final Fantasy XI on the PlayStation 2 and PC. Entitled Vision of Ziraat, the expansion set introduces higher-level characters to several new lands to explore. Each of these areas will be inhabited by high-level monsters who provide greater experience. New classes will also become available, including the already-revealed Summoner job. In addition to these features, many new quests and rare items will be added, among other small additions.

The game is scheduled to ship in Japan early this year on a DVD for the PS2 version and on CD-ROMs for the PC game. Final Fantasy XI has been planned for release in North America for some time, though no official release details have been announced. When such an announcement is made, it is likely Vision of Ziraat will also be released in English.
