Volfoss, a simulation RPG which places the player in the role of a mercenary captain, was released today in Japan. The game follows the player's struggle to become the strongest trooper in the world, based on a combination of reputation and fortune which rise and fall depending on success in battle. Each mission has individual requirements, and like any simulation RPG, troops must be healed, equipped, and sometimes replaced between battles.

The suggested retail price for Volfoss is 5800 yen, which translates to roughly 50 dollars American. No word of a North American release is forthcoming at this point.
