Nintendo's Voice Recognition Pokémon Game Renamed

For over a year, Japanese gamers have been playing Pikachu Genki Dechu, a virtual pet-style game featuring everyone's favorite Pokémon. The upcoming North American version of the game, which had previously been known as Pikachu VRS, will be released later this year under the new title, Hey You, Pikachu!

Hey You, Pikachu! will provide typical virtual pet-raising activities, such as feeding and playing games, while adding a unique twist: poké-fans will be able to talk to Pikachu. The game will take advantage of Nintendo's "Voice Recognition System" by using an included microphone that plugs into the controller's memory pak port. Players will be able to compliment Pikachu; give him simple commands, such as "Wake up," and "Catch the ball;" or even insult him by calling him "stupid." Stay tuned to RPGamer for more information on the upcoming release of Hey You, Pikachu! as the news breaks.
