Another RPG announced for the PlayStation 2

It has long been said that many novels would make great games, and as of late the trend to turn novels into games has greatly increased. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is a very popular computer and console shooter. Robert Jordan's incredibly popular Wheel of Time series has recently seen its PC debut. Even Squaresoft's Parasite Eve was a popular Japanese novel. It should come as no surprise that there are now games in development for the PlayStation 2, along with PC and possibly Macintosh, based on the books of H. P. Lovecraft.

The game is called "Dark Corners of the Earth" and is based on the very popular pen and paper RPG "Call of Cthulu". It is being toted as a horror-adventure RPG, and will be from a complete first-person perspective. Headfirst is the developer, but at this time there is no publisher yet. Andrew Brazier, the spokesman for Headfirst, says that Dark Corners might be "the most frightening game ever."
