If you have any questions whatsoever about this FAQ do not hesitate to email me at Nintendo_gurl_5@hotmail.com, ok? I would appreciate that if you want to use my FAQ on your site(yes, I do allow that), please give me full credit for this is my work after all. FAQ's aren't the easiest thing to write i'll have you know!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Version History ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ version 0.1: I added a full walkthrough, and everything else. ~~~~~ Story ~~~~~ One day, an evil black fog started to engulf the world. Soldiers braved into the black fog to see what was causing it, but none ever returned. Rumors tell of a age-long evil that has re-awakened. Your job as Princess Katia is to collect battle summoning cards, the precious runestones (they are only in certain levels), find your father, King Feobane, and to find out what is causing that black fog, and stop it. ~~~~~~~~~~ Characters ~~~~~~~~~~ Princess Katia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No surprise here, she is the main character in the game J. She has the ability to attack magical monsters using battle cards(there are 105 different cards in total). She carries the burden of saving her land from the black fog and recovering the Runestones. She must also find her father, King Feobane. King Feobane ~~~~~~~~~~~~ King Feobane is Katia's father, and King of Alenjeh. Katia is heir to his throne. He fights to find out about the black fog, but *SPOILERS* he dies trying to. *SPOILERS*. Gurd ~~~~ This witch/wizard will open up levels, sidequest levels, and also sell you cards, and pay you money for the ones you don't want. She can also transform cards that you have collected into more powerful ones. Alexander ~~~~~~~~~ Alexander is a Fairy Scholar. Bring him red fairies, and every, 10-20 fairies you bring, he'll give you a new battle card. The cards he gives you are very useful. There are 100 red fairies in total. NOTE: He only collects red fairies, not the blue ones. ~~~~~~~~ Controls ~~~~~~~~ Exploration Mode: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A: Check something (when there is a red ! mark above Katia's head. B: ----------- Analog Stick: Move Around C Stick: Change Camera View L & R: ----------- Z: ---------- X & Y: ---------- Battle Mode: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ A & B & X & Y: Use cards- can also execute a "Capture Throw" by holding down all at once (this can capture the enemy's card). L & R: ------------- Z: ------------ Analog Stick: Move Around C Stick: Change Camera View ~~~~~~~ Battles ~~~~~~~ NOTE: All battles are in real-time. Enemies are randomly generated. When you hit an enemy (you will know when- your screen will show ripples, then go to the battle zone), you will see your enemies and their HP gauge. Aim cards at them, and watch their HP gauge decrease J. The things that they drop are MAGIC STONES. Collect them to refill your MP gauge. Using cards uses up the power in your MP gauge. Pick up these colorful stones to refill your MP gauge. When you use a card and have NO MP power left, it will deplete your HP. That's all there is to the battles!! ~~~~~ Cards ~~~~~ Cards are your ONLY WEAPON, so use them sparingly, because if you use them all, and have none in the middle of a battle, you can either wait to be killed by the enemy and re-start the level, or abort the mission. That is NOT a good thing L. So, use cards sparingly. Each card has an attribute: Fire, Water, Wood, Neutral, and Earth. Each element beats another. This is the chart: (& means it beats that attribute) Earth---------------& Water & | | | | | | Neutral | | | | | | & Wood &----------------- Fire As you can see, nothing is strong against Neutral (that is why ALL of the bosses have a neutral attribute). There are 105 cards in all. There are also: some cards appear as monsters and start attacking your foe, some make you transform into a monster for LARGE amounts of attack power, and there are simply some that allow you to swipe a whip or a sword at your foe. These are the types of cards: -weapon -summon -trap -independent ~~~~~~~~~~~ Walkthrough ~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTE: If you want to now where every card, chest, and fairy are, refer to Ryakuto's FAQ walkthrough. Alanjeh Castle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: too easy Object: To get the first RuneStone. Boss: Skeleton Boss Strategy: Use your "sword type" cards, along with your powerful transformation cards, and the skeleton will be gone in no time at all. Description: Head straight, then right, then you will open a chest, and fight the boss. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Plains Of Rowahl ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: fairly easy Object: To Compete your battle training. Boss: Sand Golem Boss Strategy: This is your first real boss battle- and it's very difficult for a beginner. Use all of your most powerful attacks on the Sand Golem, saving the minor cards for all of the goblins. Using this strategy should make the battle shorter and easier. Description: Follow the path ( the red dots on the map are treasure chests- get them along the way even if it means a detour- they are worth it), and fight all of the goblins that Gurd tells you to. Then fight the Sand Golem. ~~~~~~~~ Blessoon ~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy Object: To light all capstans and get to the exit. Boss: Fire Golem Boss Strategy: Same as the Sand Golem- use your most powerful cards on the Fire Golem, and the minor cards on his minions. Description: Look for yellow dots on your screen- those are the capstans. Light them, then go through the gate to the exit. Before that though, find Alex (he shouldn't be hard to find- he's the only human there). You can now give him red fairies any time you want at his Fairy House on the World Map. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Burial Grounds ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy Object: To reach the exit. Boss: Necromancer Boss Strategy: Use Lizardman on Necromancer, and if you hit his skeletons as well that's a plus. Get rid of the skeletons first. Then focus on Necromancer. He has strong attacks, but just try to avoid them!! Use your strongest weapon cards, and you'll be fine. Description: There are 4 special tombstones- The Great King's Tombstones. Each King was referred to as a color. (these tombstones are yellow dots on your map). At the end, there are 4 colored tombstones. Hit them in the order of the 1st King (his color), etc. Here is the order: GOLD, GREEN, WHITE, ORANGE (I think that's the color- either way, it's just the last tombstone). Hit the tombstones at the end in that order, and you will succeed. However, if you hit the wrong tombstone, you will have to battle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shayel Passage ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy (if you have the right cards!!) Object: Clean out all of the Tanks (I think there are 4 in total) and get to the exit. Boss: Mind Flayer Boss Strategy: Just use your best cards ( I recommend Lizardman cards, and Dark Raven cards) on the big guy. Focus on him first although you may want to get rid of his minions first. Description: Look for the tanks (yellow dots), then head to the last room and beat the boss. Then, go all the way back to that white/tall switch you passed earlier and press it. Run down the west side to the gate, get everything there, then head along the passage to the end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Castle Grayl ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy (easy/medium if you include the boss battle). Object: Get the Runestone. Boss: Helena (she can use cards too) Boss Strategy: Ok, where do I begin?? Use all of your powerful/independent cards, then try to wipe her out using your powerful ones like Lizardman, Dark Raven, etc. Also, if you aim it right, use your transformation cards to hit her for a lot of damage. Watch out for her archer card and her independent cards- she'll send out goblins and skeletons after you which can be a pain in the butt. Heal only when necessary. Description: Get all the treasure chests. You will need them. In each room with soldier statues blocking your way, look at the ones to the left/right of you. Some are different. Hit the switches on them to open up a passage. NOTE: Depending on which room it is, there could be up to 3 switches. In one room, you will see 3 different statues. Hit the switches on ALL of them despite the fact you only need two for this room- why? Because the 3rd switch opens up the NEXT passage. After the boss, talk to the soldier to get a key. Go along the red carpet to the exit. NOTE: After some stages such as this one, you will end up at the Apothacary. Go in and talk to Gurd. She will open up the next level. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bridge Of Sarvan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy/medium Object: To get to the exit Boss: ------------ Boss Strategy: ----------- Description: Go straight up until you can head left or right (not straight because the door is locked). Head right and turn the wheel left. Head back to the main area, and go left this time. Turn the wheel to the left. Go back to the main area and hit the newly opened switch, which will make stairs appear so you can go straight. Go straight getting treasure chests along the way (yes, even if it means detours). Just continue straight to get to the end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kendarie Castle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: LOL SO EASY LOL Object: Watch the cinema movie Boss: ------------- Boss Strategy: ------------ Description: Just watch the movie!!!!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Yyprek Mines ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: Easy Object: Help the soldier, beat the boss and get the Runstone. Boss: PuppetMaster Boss Strategy: This guy is simple if you dodge his attacks!!! Just run away if he lifts his arms or charges up. Use independent card creatures, and use the rest of the strongest cards. Heal when necessary, and he'll be gone in no time at all. Description: Head along until you find a soldier. Follow him, and fight monsters for him. He will lead you to a place. Then, follow the passage to the boss. Beat him to clear the level. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brenden Fields ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy/medium Object: To find your father, and to reach the exit. Boss: Lich, Zombie Dragon/Beelzeabub Boss Strategy: These guys are tough to beat! Just use most of your independent cards to deal major damage. After a while, move in to beat Lich using Scythe Beast, Dragon Knight, Lizardman, etc. Use the Fairy card when necessary. After defeating Lich, move onto Zombie Dragon using the same technique, but always keep your distance, he is a dragon and can breathe on you! Just do that and heal when necessary, and you'll be fine. For the Beelzeabub, just do the same thing except this time really keep your distance. Description: Go along until you see a pile of bone. Check it, and then fight the 1st 2 bosses, Lich and Zombie Dragon. Go along the passage, and you will see your father!! *SPOILERS* He will try to kill the Beelzeabub, but he will get hit. Kill the Beelzeabub, and watch as your father dies, giving you his last command. *SPOILERS*. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Castle Of Wyht ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy/medium Object: Reach the throne Boss: ---------------- Boss Strategy: ----------- Description: Run around getting treasure chests, talk to both guards and hit both switches. Then go to the new area and hit the new switch and talk to the guard to get a key. Unlock the door to the throne room. Watch the cutscene, and the level will be cleared. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grenfoel Church ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: easy/medium Object: To get the RuneStone. Boss: Vampire Boss Strategy: OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! This guy is the easiest boss you will ever face!!!! Just use powerful independent cards so you can keep your distance, then go in using Lizardman, Dragon Knight, etc. and he will be gone in like 2 seconds (ok, maybe a little more than that, but oh well). Description: To complete this level, you must find all of the candlesticks that are in treasure chests scattered throughout the church. There are 4 in total. Once you have them all, go into the newly opened passageway, and collect the RuneStone. Then fight the boss. ~~~~~~~~ Coliseum ~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: medium (almost hard!!) Object: To defeat Helena the Card Duelist again. Boss: DUH!! All you do in this level is fight Helena in the Coliseum!! Boss Strategy: OK. This is a wake-up call for all of you who still have trouble using cards, dodging attacks, and staying healthy! Use your STRONGEST independent cards, then use the others like all the battles before! Watch out for her main card attack- it can turn you into stone so her minions can get you. Try to use multiple attacks for this battle. Also beware Helena will heal herself if you get close to beating her so act fast before she can. Description: Just beat Helena. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mt. Jarndunn ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: medium Object: To reach the Temple (the exit) Boss: Dragon Thing (not sure of the name- you will know when you are in battle with the boss though- he has high HP) Boss Strategy: Just be careful of his attacks, and hit him with any water attribute cards that you have, heal when necessary, and use your weapon cards sparingly, but enough to beat him J. Description: Just wander around collecting treasure chests and taking new paths- that's what I did and eventually you will reach the boss, and when you beat him, you will have cleared the level. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ruh-Arok Temple ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficutly: easy/medium Object: Speak with the God of the Temple Boss: Black Dragon Boss Strategy: Just keep your distance because he has a few intimidating attacks. Use your independent cards, and your weapon cards, and you will be fine. Description: Run around until you find two gems- white and black- then go through and go down the passage to whatever temple you want to go to. I prefer just going straight to the boss's castle. (if you want to know about the 4 other temples, go to Ryakuto's FAQ- this FAQ has all of the temples :) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Brock Black ~~~~~~~~~~~ Difficulty: quite hard Object: Kill the Enchanter Boss: Thalnos & God Of Destruction (not all at once though- 2 separate battles) Boss Strategy: Thalnos: This guy is sooooooo hard because if You don't die, then you will most certainly will run out of cards!! Just give it everything you got. Don't worry about not having cards for the next battle- you will get them back after you beat Thalnos. Make sure you use your most powerful independent cards first. Also, if you move close enough, your Kraken card does wonders!! I also recommend the Sphinx card if you can get close enough! I don't recommend too many weapon cards, because Thalnos will just use a Dragon Knight if you get to close. Definitely have at least 3 Water Bird Cards in your deck!! They come in handy. Also, Demon and Steel Skeletons are a must-have in your hand. God Of Destruction: This is the final boss. Just use independent cards, and DEFINITELY use your Kraken card!! Use your Fairy and Water Bird cards only when needed. Use weapon cards, but only fast ones or you are toast. Just use fast attacks, and you should be fine. Defeat him, and you have beaten the game!!!!!!!! Description: I hate this level it is so darn confusing at first!! OK. Go straight then go left at the intersection and get the cards. Then go back to the intersection and go the other way. Go along the passage ignoring those treasure chests for now. Go and check the bird-thingy at the end of the passage. These will teleport you to a new ledge. Now, keep going, teleporting yourself until you reach the ledge with 2 chests( when you teleport, you will be facing a certain way. Your back will be to the one you just came from. Go to the other one-this is what is so confusing about this level). Now, open them up to get a card and a "Dark Stone". Go all the way back to the passage from where you came by teleporting back. Now, 2 Puppetmasters will lock you in. Battle them, and defeat them, and you are able to get the 2 treasure chests. Now, go back to the intersection, and use the Dark Stone (stone of darkness, dark stone, what's the difference?) on the locked door. Go through the door. Now is the tricky part. Keep teleporting yourself until you get to the intersection with 3 teleporters. Go right. Then, on the intersection with 4 teleporters, go straight, and straight again, and then you will be at another intersection. Go right here. Now, fight the 2 Puppetmasters, and get the cards. Now go back to the intersection and go the other way. Here, you must fight 2 Vampires. Beat them and claim the cards in the chests. Now go back to the intersection and go through the newly opened passage. Here, get the 3 cards and fix up your deck adding your new cards at the deck point. Now, you must fight Thalnos, then the God Of Destruction. THE END ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ SideQuests ~~~~~~~~~~ Dahi-Hok Valley ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to get there: Go to the Apothacary and talk to Gurd after completing "Blessoon". She will inform you about the place. Difficulty: easy Object: To destroy all bee hives. Boss: OPTIONAL Cockatrice x 2. Boss Strategy: If you choose to fight this boss, you will first need to run around and find all of the Cockatrice eggs(there are 3, and they are easy to find). Just use your weapon cards. They are that easy! Description: Just follow the path, destroying all of the bee hives NOTE: When destroying a bee hive, a boss fight will follow, sort of like a mini-boss. That's all you have to do clear the level:) Gromtull Desert ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to get there: After defeating Dahi-Hok Valley, go back to the Apothacary and talk to Gurd to open the level. Difficulty: easy/medium Object: Kill the Sandworm Boss: Sandworm part 1, 2, 3, 4 (there may only be 4 fights or 5 fights depending how much HP you get him to cough up during each battle- I got him in 3-4 battles). Boss Strategy: No matter which fight it is, just keep your distance so he won't hit you with his strong attacks, and use you weapon cards, and mainly your independent cards. Description: If you want, you can just run around looking for clouds of smoke (the sandworm), or first you can get some good cards. To get the cards, just hit all 4 switches in the ground (hint- one of them is in that green-barrel thing). Otherwise, just look for a little sand cloud:) ~~~~~~~ Rohbach ~~~~~~~ How to get there: After defeating the Gromtull Desert, go back to the Apothacary and talk to Gurd. Difficulty: easy Object: Get all 3 types of healing herbs. Boss: Yeti things (there are 3 of them- but you don't fight all 3 all at once) Boss Strategy: Every time you go near a tree with an herb, you will be confronted by this Yeti-thing. Just use your weapon cards to deal a lot of damage, but watch out for his strong ice attack- it's very damaging health-wise. Description: Go around and locate the yellow dots on your map- they are the trees that contain the herbs. When you get near a tree, though, you will first have to fight a Yeti. Then you can claim the herbs by checking the tree. There are 3 trees/herbs in total. ~~~~~~~~ Lumstead ~~~~~~~~ How to get there: After defeating Rohbach, go back to the Apothacary and talk to Gurd. This time she wants to accompany you. Difficulty: ridiculously easy Object: To make the white fog go away. Boss: -------------- Boss Strategy: -------------- Description: This level is where battles count. Gurd will tell you that the more battles you fight and win, the better her prize will be. Just locate all of the 4 wells, and throw one of the herbs that Gurd gave you into them, and the white fog will dissapear. It's that easy :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lake Bestriel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to get there: After defeating Lumstead, go back to the Apothacary and talk to Gurd. Difficulty: medium Object: To cleanse the lake Boss: Hydra Boss Strategy: This boss is a slow, slow mover. Here's a trick to confuse him :) Run around him and wait a while. Slowly, he will start to turn in your direction. Use a powerful card on him, then run around behind him. It will take him like 5 seconds to recover from the card, and like 5 minutes to turn around so kill him while he's facing the other way. It's really quite simple. Description: Go along the islands, and use your magic stones to cross all of the bridges and you will eventually come across Hydra, and the Stone of Cleansing. After that, cross the new bridges using your magic stones again, and you will come to the statue of cleansing you passed earlier. Put the stone there, and watch as the lake becomes normal again. CONGRADUALATIONS!!
