LUNAR: Yonenki no Owari (Lunar: Childhood's End) By: Funato Akari Shigema Kei NOTES: I tried to be as literal as possible when I translated this manga, so certain parts might sound a bit awkward. Also, I tended to translate the dialogue by "bubbles," that is a line by a character in the translation is what that character says in a "bubble" in the manga. I did this for the people who have the manga (so they could really follow along.) However, this scheme is not perfect. There were some instances in which I had to incorporate several "bubbles" of dialogue to be coherent. Character thoughts are surrounded by (). The actions of characters and descriptions of the background are surrounded by <>. I put these in so that people without the manga could follow the storyline. I highly recommend getting the manga though, especially for Lunar fans. (I really liked the story and character designs.) One final thing I should say is that I have been told that this story takes place between the "end" and the epilogue of the game Lunar II: Eternal Blue. I guess it's sort of a side story. -Seungtaek Choi If you have any comments, questions, or translation corrections, email me at seung@mit.edu Translation p.3 Alice: It is said that the Magic Emperor, the king of the demons who opposed the goddess, lived a long ago in the ruins known as Machine Mountain on the outskirts of the City of Meribia.
