INTRODUCTION
  Well, being version 1.0, you'd think this file would be a lot
smaller, but actually, it's the equivalent of 1.4.  This is, however,
the first FORMAL edition of this code list.  Oh, and you'll need a
version of GameHack.  Go to www.gamehack.com to get a copy of it, if
you don't have it already.

1 THE CODES AND HOW TO ADD TO THEM
  GameHack is a very interesting program, in that it allows you to hack
any part of a game, AS LONG AS YOU KNOW THE LOCATION OF THAT PART.  My
list is basically just a listing of locations, as well as a few valid
ranges of values.  But suppose you've got some code I didn't record for
GameShark (a likely possibility), and want to see if it will work.  The
section below will teach you how to translate GameShark to GameHack.
If you're just content with whatever I found (also likely), go to the
Code Database ASAP.  And remember, have fun with your new little toys!

1.1 WHAT'S MISSING
  Now, THIS is a short list!  Here's what I couldn't figure out, or
didn't have the time (or patience) to complete before releasing this.

* Character Limit Gagues
* Chocobos 1,2, & 5-6

  I've got the values for the chocobos, but not the limit gagues.  I'll
have them all recorded (hopefully) by the next release.

1.2 HOW TO TRANSLATE A GAMESHARK CODE TO GAMEHACK
  There is my formula for translating FF7 GameShark codes to GameHack.
It isn't perfect, however.  The algorithm is:

(GameShark Code) - 7F2EB3C4 = (GameHack Code)

  If the code begins with a number other than 8, change the 7 to the
number just before it (ie. if the first number is 3, use a 2 instead
of a 7).  This translation will work for almost every GameShark code,
minus a select few codes.

1.3 CODE DATABASE

  The code database is very large, but is still incomplete.  Any REAL
contributions are welcome.  Just e-mail them to wmoore@pcez.com, and
tell me:
1. What the code is (hex values)
2. What it does
3. Any special value to set it to

  A NOTE: Any codes with question marks at the beginning and ending of
them are not confirmed as working, or didn't work.  Those codes are all
translated GameShark codes.

HOW THE CHARACTER SELECT WORKS: First, remember this: the chocobo is
not a character.  Second, Young Cloud and Sephiroth aren't characters
after the sequence with them in it is over.  Third, if Aeris is no
longer officially in your party, she'll cause errors if you enter an
event where the party "fans out" from Cloud, or if you go onto the
Highwind.
