The Ultimate Kefka Strategy Guide By Allen Childs MistaKefka@aol.com AIM - MistaKefka ICQ - 14509193 ************************************************************************ ************* First of all, I am going to tell you what you will need/what you will need to do to your characters by the time you get to the end of Kefka's Tower: 1. High Levels (70s should do) 2. One Megalixer (there is one in a chest in the Tower) 3. Terra with Ultima and Quick learned, and Gem Box and Economiser (or Gold Hairpin) 4. Sabin, Locke, Edgar, Shadow, Gogo, Cyan, and Umaro wouldn't hurt 5. Offering and Genji Glove for Locke, with Atma Weapon and another powerful weapon (Scrimtar (sp) or Illumina are good) 6. Some sword capable of SwdTech for Cyan. Make sure he has Quadra Slice learned 7. Bum Rush and/or Air Blade learned for Sabin 8. Rage Ring and Blizzard Orb for Umaro 9. Chain Saw for Edgar 10. Preferably lots of weapons you aren't afraid to throw with Shadow I think that should do it for equipment. ************************************************************************ ************* Now, here's how to fight and NEVER lose against Kefka (if you have everything above) Order of Battle: 1. Terra 2. Cyan 3. Sabin 4. Gogo 5. Locke 6. Shadow 7. Whoever First Section - Have Terra use Quick and Ultima one round, then Ultima Ultima Ultima Ultima. That MIGHT kill the first section. If not, then just use a Quadra Slice or Bum Rush (or Mimic) which would do the trick. Second Section - Same Strategy Third Section - Same, except make sure Locke is either in your party or you kill someone (probably Sabin) so that he will advance into your party for the last section. Fourth Section - You COULD do the thing with Terra, Quick, and Ultima, but I would just have her defend. Kefka will probably cast Fallen One (reduced all characters HP to one) right away. If he does, use the Megalixer. Its practically over now. The only danger of Fallen One is when he does Fallen One and then Goner soon after that. He's done it to me several times. Bang. You're gone. But with the Megalixer, that can't happen. Then have Locke (with Atma, Genji Glove, and Offering) attack once. He should be dead. If not, a Bum Rush, Quadra Slice, Ultima, or another attack from Locke should make him RIP. Also, you should have Shadow for a backup at 6th place in the Lineup, because he can take off thousands per hit when he throws a Shuriken, Tack Star, or decent weapon at Kefka. Use ANYTHING, because the game is over, so even if you throw Excalibur or something, it wont matter because the game is over :O) I hope you enjoyed this, and I hope it works, because I'll be in deep trouble if it doesnt :O) It works for me, so I hope it does for you. Also, a few notes: The best place for learning spells is the Fanatic's Tower (equip four Wall Rings) The best place for EXP is the dinosaur forest. You can get Sabin to learn Bum Rush from Duncan's House You can get Cyan to learn his SwdTech moves when you complete the thing at Doma I know you might not know everything I'm talking about there, but if not, just check Mynock's guide or something ************************************************************************ ************* CREDITS Thanks to Square for making this AWESOME game (Best ever, IMO) Thanks to some idiot on a FF7 messageboard for setting me strait that FF6 is better than FF7 :O) Thanks to Mynock and the guy who wrote my FF6 strategy guide for taking the time to write about this great game (and don't forget Shadow Fighter) Thanks to Jon (Darkmere, Xenogears8) for finally deciding to try this game (^^) Thanks to Prowlersin for being cool Thanks to myself, for rambling on and on in this FAQ :O) The end!
